Bad photos from an annual tradition that my boys love.

For the past three years we have had a tradition with my friend Janet and her girls on the last day of school for teachers in our area.  The teachers always have an extra day of school after the kids get out and the first couple of years when the girls were younger they would come over to our house for the morning and we would then meet up with Janet and go out for lunch.

This year the girls were older and could stay by themselves but we delayed the lunch date anyways since Janet and I had our last boot camp session of the school year at 1 pm that day. The next day (yesterday) was Canada Day so today we finally went out for lunch.

This year we went to Turtle Jacks and I had the best blackened chicken goat cheese salad ever, but you really didn't need to know that:).   We took a couple of iPhone photos (so not the best quality) at the restaurant but oddly didn't take a single photo of the kids in the pool where they spent most of the afternoon.

Janet and I spent the whole afternoon sitting in the backyard and I got a little too much sun and will be paying for it for a few days, but we all had a great time.  The swimming and hanging in the backyard is sure to repeat itself several times over the summer and I'm positive i'll have a few photos of that to share at some point.
